About Mark

With my Business Diploma from Humber College in hand I was about to experience the difference between a diploma and a degree (four years) program.  As a mature student I also maintained my work and financial responsibilities.

There were moments in the third year where I questioned continuing, yet with perseverance I achieved my goal in a timely manner.  The fourth year, I recall, had the "light at the end of the tunnel" and instilled in me the "sprint to the finish" race like determination.

One of the features that differentiated the method of study was and is it's poly-technical emphasis.  The team environment was constantly promoted in the year three so that in the fourth and final year this skill was well-honed.  The educational focus allowed us to successfully gain access to confidential industry/company information and resources to produce meaningful reports.

 

My thanks to all my professors, administration and colleagues.  A special thanks to Professor Roy Morely (and his wife Claudia) who exceeded beyond exceptional learning and has become one of my mentors.  Their expression of exceptional quality serves as one of my finest inspirations

 

 

 

Feature

The purpose of a business is to make a profit.  The emphasis of backing up theory and creativity with numbers proved to reinforce this.

The polytechnic nature of study enabled us to work with industry where this mathematical core was ever-present during the four years of study.
